I just found out that there is some feature called "Reddit Predictions". it seems like moderators can formulate some kind of series of multiple choice polls and Redditors can participate in those "challenges" in order to become the best predictor. I find this very fascinating for some reason. I think each Redditor gets by default about 1000 tokens that can be spend.
I participated in the first prediction I came across and I did have probability distribution about the expected outcome in the future. I bet on the highest probability on won (I think it was 300 tokens). There was another one that was about predicting some color that would be the least choosen one, but I skipped it because it required psychological knowledge rather than pure analytical skills.
I am interested in formulating those prediction challenges myself as well as becoming very good at predicting. I am not certain whether those tokens are good for anything except being a some kind of leaderboard somewhere however. So I assume it is just some gamification aspect that also triggers gambling addiction? But seems safe as you cannot lose anything really if I understand it correctly.
