Standing is healthier than sitting. When ever you get the opportunity prefer standing over sitting.
Sitting encourages to adapt a bad posture and it makes you tiresome. Standing in contrasts is a kind of like a low-grade type of exercise. Standing makes it is easier maintain a good, (i.e. straight) posture. While standing you can easily move around and even stretch from time to time.
If you do not have yet consider to acquire a standing desk/table. A standing table can be easily improvised. Just stack some items like boxes (e.g. made out of cardboard) on top of each to achieve the adequate height. You want the table to be about on height that you can easily move things with your hands with out bowing. So probably kind below the height of your belly button. ^^
